Survey Purpose
H-GAC needs your help to better understand the needs in the region by completing our 2017 Annual Vehicle Survey. This year’s survey is different in that it looks to help us better understand the population of both Traditional and Alternative fueled vehicles and equipment used in fleets throughout the region.
Survey participation helps document the current and future needs of the region and support H-GAC and the Houston-Galveston Clean Cities Coalition’s efforts to improve air quality and expand the use of cleaner advanced vehicle technology. Better documentation also helps H-GAC apply for grants to create financial incentives that benefit our region’s fleets. This includes the newly allocated $209 million in Volkswagen Environmental Mitigation Trust funding and that will provide the region with a unique opportunity in the coming year.
The Houston-Galveston Clean Cities Coalition collects data on fleets and activities within the Houston-Galveston-Brazoria region in order to fulfill the Coalition’s responsibility to track the number of fleets using alternative fuel vehicles so we can annually report the millions of gallons of gasoline that are displaced nationwide.
